Kirby Stailey

Kirby Stailey was born and raised in Southern Indiana and began singing in church at the age of 5.  From that point on, music held a special place in his life. During his youth, he played bass guitar, acoustic guitar,  and sang lead vocals in a variety of different bands from heavy metal, blues, rock and roll, and country. Kirby now performs Country-Gospel, Contemporary Christian, and Modern Country. In 2009, he competed in a local Colgate Country Showdown in Jasper, Indiana. and won the competition performing two songs that he wrote “How You Spend the Dash” and “We Know The Way (Cause They Showed Us How). It was the first competition of this type that he had ever competed in. He then recorded both of these original tracks on an EP titled “We Know The Way” named after the song written about the lives of his wife’s late grandparents WInston and Evelyn Flick. Kirby went on to compete at the Indiana State Finals held at the Indiana State Fairgrounds in August of 2009, where he placed fourth in the state. “How You Spend the Dash” continues to receive airplay on local radio stations. Kirby resides in Orange County with his wife Cheri, son Carson, and daughter Addison. He has already began writing songs for his second CD and hopes that God will allow him to continue to minister through his music.
